Q2: How can I convert the SDTS vector files to a usable format?
The SDTS help desk at
stds@usgs.gov
should be able to direct you to the appropriate tools so that you
can use SDTS data with a number of different GIS's,
including ArcInfo, ArcView, MGE, AutoCAD, MapInfo,
MicroDEM, ERDAS, and ENVI.
You may also want to check the SDTS home page at
http://mcmcweb.er.usgs.gov/sdts/ and especially the tutorial
and translator documents at
http://mcmcweb.er.usgs.gov/sdts/warning.html
